The Park Hotel, Tokyo

Tokyo's Park Hotel is, like many of Tokyo's finest hotels, located on the upper floors of one of the modern skyscrapers that cluster around the edge of the Hamarikyu Gardens at Shiodome Station. Unlike such establishments as the Peninsula and the Conrad, however, the Park Hotel Tokyo offers a compromise between luxury and affordability. Comfortable, smaller rooms don't skimp on the amenities and decorations, and offer excellent views of downtown Tokyo. Even on misty days the distinctive Tokyo Tower is a highlight of the view from the lobby; on clear days and nights overlooking Tokyo from these windows is spectacular. The lobby itself features towering ceilings that reach the height of the building, and offers a comfortable lounge where live jazz is played in the evenings.

Other on-site restaurants include the News Cafe, which features local and organic food and sweets, as well as the Tateru Yoshino, which was recently awarded a Michelin star. Aromatherapy massage treatments and pillow consultation services - to make sure your sleep is as restful and comfortable as possible - are available on request.

The Park Hotel Tokyo generally falls into our 4 star budget category, and we would be delighted to include a stay there as part of your tailor made tour to Japan.
